Well its left to me to wrap up - drafted in at the last moment due to Vikki's injury and not being really involved in the last couple of years in the clubs race training it's been great to see that although the faces are different, the banter and Team Sprit of our wee club is stilll the same - I was Galsgow Ski Center memeber number 5 when I was 15 yrs old and I'm now 44 so that really does qualify me to say that this is the best group of trainees I have seen in terms of skiing ability and "Espit De Corps" The skiing from the kids has been fab - but on these trips and I have done many of them over the years its the wee off the wall stuff that I always remeber such Brian Malley making snowmen of the French Instructors, Frazer Connels impresive dancing, and on the last day when we decided to have a timed race which was all very last min - as soon as we said this was the real club championship there where more catsuits at the top of our course than you could take shake a stick at - all non areo dynimic clothing...

Today was another great day on the hill with blue skies, warm weather and an epic course which Ally's group skied like animals, blasting down through the gates and having great fun at the same time. Everyone on the hill enjoyed the timed runs, with Owen Vinter, yet again, embarassing almost all of the other racers with an outstanding race run down the giant slalom course. All the groups blasted down the World Cup run which we all greatly enjoyed. Andy's group all had a wee singing session on the cable car to the top, which was briskly followed by the instruction from Andy to "SHUT UP." Andy also showed us many games tonight which resulted in some people being sutibly embarrassed, Euan to end up covered in  big black spots, and even Keri and Fraser to get a little wet!! Cheers Kieran Ferrier... Step aside Keirdo, my turn :D. This week has been a blast, from start to finish. The snow and the skiing was amazing and the banter was even better, from singing in the cablecar to racing head to head...

Hi ALL

Apologies we are too busy having fun for the blog!!!  Today was the best day, we had the best snow ever, no wind, blue skies, sunshine, Giant Slalom Skis, Giant Slalom Course and racing!!!

We had timed runs today and Nicole & Graeme Price joined in, good effort from Graeme who hasn't skied all week due to injury, he still beat everyone with a fall!!!

Courses all morning, free skiing all afternoon, brilliant day.  Off the hill we had ski bags to pack for DHL, Packing to do, rooms to be cleaned, I caught my son (Owen) hoovering!!!  PIZZA for dinner, how happy were they!

We are now playing, ripi tipi, the spoon game and the corn flake box game, great fun!!

I will sign out now and more info will follow from the coaches and kids.

Hi All Today was an awsome day, great snow, sunshine, -12 at the top of the mountain but no wind so we coped better today!  Unfortunatly we had a Ferrier rest day!  Kieran had very sore feet which he has been coping well with, he never complains and carries on regardless.  However he was very sensible today and rested in order to allow him a great last day!  Rachael jarred her knee yesterday and struggled to stand on it today, again a day off will hopefuly allow her to enjoy tommorrow.   8 days skiing is definatley the way forward, we are having a blast and I can't beleive tommorrow is our last day.  One Giant Slalom course and one stubby course nestled between the FAST Camp and the Scottish Team allowed for some amazing runs from the kids today.  They are skiing very well, each year the standard increases.!! Tonight we had a lovely visit from Francine Malley, Brian's mum, she was close by visiting friends and surprised us with a visit, great to see you Francine.  Everyone had a mass game of touch rugby...

It snowed well into Wednesday night and the snow was lying right down into the village so we took the decision to cancel morning warm up in advance last night.  The kids were thrilled to be given a lie in.  However... The lie in didn't quite happen as we were woken even earlier than normal by the fire alarm.  Unfortunately this might have had something to do with us (again...oops!) as a certain boy's room's electric radiator clashed with a pair of wet gloves when it turned on at 6:30am.  Well I think we can now safely say that we have fully tested the accomodations protection and alarm system and I am happy to report it is fully effective!  Although the threat of potential fire wasn't enough to move the coaches from bed, or the room in question!!  Thankfully Julie and Sharon were on the case and once we got the all clear it was back to bed for half an hour.  On to the important stuff - skiing today was epic! Amazing snow and a change from the icy slopes we've skied all week.  There was a slight...

After surviving four days of glorious sunshine, we were back to experiencing the skiing conditions we prefer in Scotland.  With bitterly cold temperatures and a wind which whipped the snow into a frenzy and made us feel like our faces had had a close encounter with a belt sander we felt right at home! Despite the weather conditions we still managed to get a day of training slalom on the snowpark.  Andy, Lynn and myself were feeling very pleased with ourselves this morning after securing our spot next to the cable car doors.  This spot had allowed us to be first out for the daily sprint for lanes.  Imagine our disappointment when the lifty (obviously not a fan of the Scots!) only opened the door at the opposite side of the cable car to let the french coaches out first! Even with this minor setback we still managed to secure prime spot on the piste.  The kids had an amazing morning through the first course before the kids had a hot chocolate (and cold chocolate of the solid kind) break whilst...

Hi All Today was a snowy, cold icy day, just like home!  The pressure was on to last the longest on the hill!!  We had a slalom course set today, they all skied very well, this was tough icy cold conditions.  They had plenty quality training runs in difficult snow.  We finished a little early today and had lunch in the chalet, lunch was coq au van, fish, peas, macaroni cheese and all the usual cheeses and salads.  Melon and Grapefruit cut up ready to eat.  The french children do eat well, a very varied diet that always includes fruit, salad & cheeses.  Trying to encourage the children to try food other than the macaroni cheese!!  As I write the blog Ally's group have just finished servicing their skis and playing frisbe in the snow, Andy's group are doing video analysis and Lynn's group have serviced skis and done fitness in the snow.  We are expecting a powder day tommorrow possibly, in our GS Skis.  The kids are behaving really well, no kidding!  Good manners, doing as we ask and generally no issues, I...

Opppps!!! Sorry I forgot to mention one of my fav highlights so far!! Sorry I have to name & shame for full impact This involves Brian Malley!! - while doing his warm up runs this morning and before being let loose in the Slalom course Brian was skiing down, also at this point there are two French coach's standing half way down the run in the very next lane to us - Brian at full speed and in full hero turn mode miss-timed a turn, had to make a very severe change of directon resulting in full hockey spray stop covering the two coach's in snow Brian had no idea of what happend!! The best bit, when the two french coaches recovered their composure and turned to see who committed the said dastiley deed (as in what Scotland/British trainee did this!!) all they saw was a red French ESF Jacket flashing by at MACH 5!! Ths jacket that Brian skis in every day is a French ski instructors uniform jacket!!! When Brian got to the top I explained to him what had happened - and as he speaks fluent French I suggested...

Hi All, More slalom today, great snow, great weather, great all round conditions. All the trainees are really starting to find their feet now - and becuase we have had three great days of slalom training the confidence in their own abilities is really starting to show!! In fact I noticed today when I was standing at the top of our course when some of our more experianced traniees skied through the course some of the French World Cup Squad skiers coming up the tow a couple feet away turned their heads to follow our skiers down to the end of their training runs - I can honestly tell you that its really quite somthing to get these guys attention!! We had two courses today - again on the very best part of the hill, this time down to Ali's 8am coach sprinting skills at 4,000 meters (a younger model of course!!) And again we were the very very last group off the hill as we have been every day this week!! If you are from Scotland then you know that every penny is a prisoner and we are deff getting our money's...
